League of Legends European Championship Spring 2021 is the fifth European League of Legends split under the LEC banner.

During the off-season, Astralis announced their plans to retire the Origen brand, retiring it after competing in League of Legends for a total of 6 years ^[1]. On the 18th of November, Rekkles left Fnatic after playing for them for 6 years ^[2]. He joined G2 Esports to team up with former Fnatic teammate Caps ^[3]. On the 20th of November, Perkz officially parted ways with G2 Esports, joining North American team Cloud9 ^[4].

Former Excel Esports jungler Caedrel announced his retirement on the 3rd of November, joining the LEC analyst desk for the 2021 spring season ^[5]. Retiring on the 6th of January was SK Gaming jungler Trick ^[6].

Format[edit]

Group Stage - January 22nd - March 14th, 2021
- Double Round Robin
- Each team plays 18 matches
- All matches are Bo1
- 1st to 6th place will play the Playoffs
  - 1st to 4th place are seeded into Semifinals
  - 5th and 6th place are seeded into Losers' Round 1
