Yernar "Mantis" Urazbayev (born August 25, 1992) is a Kazakhstani Dota 2 caster.

Biography[edit]

Mantis is from Almaty in Kazakhstan.

Dota 2[edit]

Mantis was one of the five members of NEXT.kz who participated in the first big Dota 2 event, ASUS Summer 2011. They went undefeated until their loss to Natus Vincere in the finals, getting them second place at the event.

Mantis, along with his team, NEXT.kz, fully transitioned into the Dota 2 scene in 2011, where they attended ESWC 2011. They ended up placing third in their group and did not go through to the semi-final brackets.

In the 2012 West Qualifiers for The International Mantis was a part of NEXT.kz, and they went undefeated until the grand final where they lost 3-1 to mtw.

Much later on, Mantis along with the NEXT.kz team was picked up by Ukrainian organization Ahead Gaming in autumn of 2013. Only two months later however, they returned to the NEXT.kz organization.

As The International 2014's qualifiers approached in late spring, Mantis along with the rest of NEXT.kz received a new sponsorship shortly before the European qualifiers. Thus, the team was picked up by xGame.kz. The team finished 6th in the group stages for the European qualifier with a 4-5 record, and therefore were eliminated from the qualifier.
