Overview[edit]

Anubis is a bomb defusal map set in Egypt and created by Roald, jakuza, and jd40. It was Ported to CS2 with no Skybox.

History[edit]

Anubis was introduced to the game alongside Chlorine on March 31, 2020. They took the place of Studio and Breach when Operation Shattered Web ended that day. Anubis was first introduced into Scrimmage mode only.

On April 10, 2020, Anubis was moved from Scrimmage to Competitive after only ten days of being featured in the game. It was the second map to get moved into Competitive since the introduction of Scrimmage, the first being new Cache.

On May 3, 2021, Anubis was removed from the game.

On August 16, 2022, Anubis was added back to the game as part of CS:GO's 10th Birthday.

On November 18, 2022, Anubis was added to the official Valve competitive map pool, replacing Dust II.

On August 2nd 2023, Anubis was added to CS2.
