I'm not a mac user, so I'm not much help. Anti-vrius stopping it is the usual thing, but I don't really recommend turning that off these days. Try re-download, and unzip again maybe.
Thanks for the answer, but unfortunately this is not an antivirus, I had the same problem with other games but usually the developers wrote instructions on how to fix it.(
