Stylish third-person shooter. Had trouble finding the last enemy and generator. If you choose to develop this past the jam time, I would also prioritize refining the movement and designing levels that complement it well.

That was really fun, enjoyed that a lot. Sometimes I wondered if either dead turrets were randomly firing or live ones could fire through walls from something, got killed by a turret I couldnt see. But its a jam game made in 2 weeks, really impressive to get that together

what a strong jam game.
enjoyed every minute of it.
some kind of change in music to hint at a nearby turret would be great and the forward motion is kinda speedy so screeching halts are fumbly.
all in all a game everyone will come back to.

This is a pretty cool vibe - the forward dash felt a bit awkward but also I didn't feel I really needed to use it much, so I mostly just ran around and shot the enemies anyways.  There's a solid base here for a more fleshed out project with some refining to the mechanics - seems most obvious complaints have been addressed in other comments (lack of radar, wall run use, etc)

I am particularly fond of the aesthetics.  The main character mech design is super cool and I like that simplistic flat shading kinda look for the city overall (not sure the real technical term)

I really like the mechs design an neat way of showing how its able to wall run which was one of my favourite mechanics.

Really would have loved it the wall running had more implementations.

Glad the game was easy to understand and aiming and movement were very fluid and quick to get a grasp of.

Couldn't play, it kept saying Fatal Error when trying to start the mission

I really liked this one! The wall riding felt a little superfluous due to not being able to get more height or shoot, but it was neat. game controlled well and looked pretty good! I loved the design of the player mech. I don't really have any notes, just a solid entry!

I really enjoyed this one! The aiming feels janky at times and as mentioned by others there is not much reason to wall run but I feel like you have a solid foundation! The movement feels nice and responsive and you really nailed the art style, great work! Would love to see more of this, keep it up!

This is a perfectly balanced game, with no exploits what so ever. Love the fact that you can shoot through walls and buildings if your cursor is not obstructed. :D

I really like how this looks, the arte style is very pretty, especially for the character. The skating mechanic is well implemented and all the animations match the different actions so well. (One time i even had a 360 turn on a direction switch, that looked awesome). It’s also really well done, that you can just go around a turret and not get hit while shooting it, which complements the skating mechanic and feeling very well. In contrast to that there are the jump and boost mechanics, which i haven’t really found a use for. I think that the map design is a little bit to small to really take advantage o that, it has alot of tight corners and not much room to accellerate.

The main issue i have is the double mouse hold for shooting, that’s a bit uncomfortable and i think also unecessary? Why not let the character change his position to the shooting one automatically when you hit shoot?

But all in all it was a nice experience with this little scooter shooter.

Low-key the best gameplay in all the jam entries! Truly a hidden gem, well done!

Cool aesthetic with the shading and I like the mech design! Probably just a problem with me, but the game got a bit frustrating at the end hunting for the last generator after taking out all defenses. As someone else mentioned, game was flagged by my anti-virus though (Avast), with the .exe quarantined instantly. I had to move it to an location where I had an exception just to run it. A little short but sweet.

Developer

Thank your for playing! Also its definitely not just you, even I get lost trying to find the last generator. I was planning to create a radar but didn't have enough time sadly (also I did just kinda put the generators down randomly without thought so that didn't help). Also huh, not sure what's that about. Hoping that it is just a false flag but I'll most likely look into that.

I really enjoyed this. Reminded me a little of how it felt playing Twisted Metal back in the day. Continue to work a bit on the controls and speed a bit and you have a banger of a game. Great job and a great entry.

Cool concept.

Something I really disliked though was that there seemed to be no reason at all to wallrun or even jump, because shooting required you to aim, and aiming broke your wallrun, and the level design didn't really provide a way for wall riding to be a better dodging tool than just strafing.

Developer

You basically said what I was thinking as well. My design for the game was all over the place so hopefully I can make wallrunning much more useful in the future

I had a ton of fun with this game. If you worked on it some more I would definitely tweak the shooting a little, maybe make the health a bit more generous as well. I finally managed to beat it with like 1% of my health remaining.

Developer

Funny thing is that I added the healing system as a last second change because I realised the health might not be enough. Honestly really struggled with the balancing so hopefully I can tweak that. Also just wanted to say, banger jam, I'm definitely going to do more of yours in the future. Was a really fun time!

Pretty cool concept. The shooting is a bit wonky, and the enemies are relentless, so I think it could use a little tuning, but I absolutely loved the graphics and UI.

Developer(+1)

Yeah I didn't know the best way to balance the enemies at the time but I have some ideas and hopefully that will work. Also I'm happy you liked the UI! It definitely was one of the big things I was proud of

Reminds me of armored core, and like in armored core I think the shooting would also benefit from a lock on system so the play can focus on zipping around. Being able to boost sideways would also improve the movement.

Developer

Definitely agree with you on that, I am planning to implement a lock on in the future (alongside other gameplay changes) so hopefully things will feel better then

Downloaded the game but couldn't play. Unfortunately my system says that the Evogen Virus is in the game which is a keylogger.

Developer

That is odd, might be a false check? There shouldn't be any viruses

Pretty fun to play ! Controls are a bit hard to get used to, the art style is really really nice (love the toon outline and the animations of the mech). Nice sound design too !

Developer

Happy that your liked the style! It was one thing I wanted to at least make sure was good. Hopefully with my plans for the gameplay, I can make the controls easier to use because yeah its sort of a mess rn
