Etymology

- 子曰:「《關雎》,樂而不淫,哀而不傷。」 [Classical Chinese, trad.]

- Zǐyuē: ““Guān Jū”, lè ér bù yín, āi ér bù shāng.” [Pinyin]
- The Master said, "The Guan Ju (《關雎》) is expressive of enjoyment without being licentious, and of grief without being hurtfully excessive."
