"For the third consecutive year, there was notable progress to combat labor trafficking, with labor trafficking convictions and victim identifications," said Ambassador Dyer.
"Today governments around the world continue to target individuals, shutter places of worship, forcibly displace communities, and imprison people because of their religious beliefs,” said Secretary Blinken.
“It is essential that anti-trafficking advocates continually and intentionally connect and partner with communities who are most impacted by trafficking,” said Ambassador Dyer.
“Trafficking is the very definition of a problem that no one nation can solve alone,” stated Secretary Blinken.
"Russia's aggression is not only an attack on the lives and the freedom of the people of Ukraine," said Vice President Harris. But "an attack on international rules and norms and the principles embodied in the UN Charter."
"The Russian government has served as a safe-haven for ransomware actors – who, in recent years, have caused billions of dollars of losses and significant damages to hospitals,” said Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield.
"Sexual violence remains a gruesome part of modern conflict around the globe," said Vice President Kamala Harris.
“We welcome the G7 speaking with one united voice about the threat that Iran poses and the threat that its destabilizing activities pose,” said State Department Spokesperson Miller.
"Governments like Russia also arbitrarily detain foreign nationals for political purposes, using human beings as bargaining chips," said Secretary Blinken.
"The evidence of Russia’s war crimes is well-documented," said Ambassador Wood. "Nevertheless, Ukraine continues to develop a formula for a just and durable peace that is in line with the principles of the UN Charter.”
The United States is “deeply troubled by the continued arrests of members of Azerbaijani civil society,” said State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller.
“Each launch informs the DPRK of its capability gaps and allows Pyongyang to further advance its weapons programs,” said Ambassador Wood.
