    Ideas in Motion 🌲🚂 Last week, our teams from Augsburg and Stuttgart gathered at Seehaus Forelle at Eiswoog (Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany) for a two-day event full of new ideas and local culture. 💡   During our quarterly meeting, we dove deep into new processes and innovative strategies for the upcoming year. 🔄 The unexpected highlight? Riding the old Stumpfwald narrow-gauge Railway and even getting hands-on with steering a  locomotive! 🛠️ 🚂 Technical quiz question: Why does those locomotives have a steering wheel if it doesn’t steer? 🤔 Take a guess in the comments!  We ended the day with a barbecue by the old locomotive shed and kicked off the next day recharged for another session. Now we are looking forward to the upcoming year and getting ready to implement our new ideas creating value-adding features. Looking for team spirit?     💡 Innovation at its finest at Day 2 of the VDI Wissensforum GmbH in Nürtingen! Yesterday, we participated in the second day of the VDI event in Nürtingen, where Andreas Weiss delivered a highly insightful presentation on live-learning AI tools for injection molding and the automated assembly of medical devices🏭 📊 The VDI conference "Plastics in Medical Technology" is the largest of its kind in the DACH area, with over 100 participants. It serves as an excellent platform to: ➡️Meet key experts from industry, research, and regulatory authorities ➡️Discuss the latest approaches to the development, manufacturing, and regulation of plastics in medical products During his presentation, Andreas Weiss showcased how Hopper, our injection molding parameter optimization tool, helps reduce scrap and cycle times through automated optimization suggestions — all while maintaining GMP compliance. ✅ He also explained how Hopper is especially valuable for plastics in medical devices when dealing with hard-to-process materials like COC/COP, high cavity numbers, or complex part geometries. Hopper helps manage the complicated relationships between these external factors. We also had the pleasure of hearing from Timo Steinebrunner form ZAHORANSKY who shared insights into their cutting-edge production processes and how they have already integrated plus10 tools across their machines. Participants had the unique opportunity to interact with the Shannon App and Web frontend on their own device at the machine, optimizing production and ramp-up phase . And the feedback?     Parameter optimization under real conditions? Yes, we can! 🦾 Many tools sound great in theory, but hidden problems and bugs often emerge when applied in real-world scenarios. For us, it’s crucial that our tools provide genuine value and don't turn improvements into setbacks. We aim to accelerate the enhancement of production processes, detect errors, and automatically correct them. Christoph Mussauer, head of the Injection Molding Technology Group at SKZ – Das Kunststoff-Zentrum in Würzburg, had the opportunity to see our parameter optimizer, Hopper, in action at the Technology Day at the end of June and found: “Indeed, Hopper's suggestions improved the component, from the setting I applied before”.
