The company behind chipless, metal-free, paper RFID tags joins Sting Bioeconomy PulpaTronics has developed chipless, metal-free, paper RFID tags. The company’s unique and groundbreaking technology significantly reduces the environmental footprint of RFID tag production. We met the founders, Chloe So and Barna Soma Biro. They are both eager to share their thoughts and experiences, and happy to join forces with Sting Bioeconomy. Sting Bioeconomy’s expertise in paper and other hard plant-based material is a great fit as we move forward. These are the questions that have permeated this year’s Tire Technology Expo Conference, set against a backdrop of regulatory updates from the European Commission and others. In a fascinating presentation from Hankook yesterday, titled ‘Tire materials and technology arms race’, Guy Heywood, executive director of sustainable innovation and circular economy at the company’s Americas Technology Center, remarked, “We've got ambitions to be 100% #sustainable, 100% carbon free by 2050. Together, we are building the solution to accelerate plastic recycling!” In 2023, we focused on launching our second system and testing with many players across the industry to build our database(s) and acquire data to further improve the MADSCAN technology. Building on this, this funding will be used for: 1) Building the MADSCAN T-50 🏗 Our third system will be capable of analysing more polymer types, measuring more phase transitions AND nitrogen flushing to increase system accuracy further! 2) Running pilots on-site. 🤝 We are ready to bring MADSCAN to customer facilities and now actively looking for partners to do this with.
