Advancements in experimental techniques for measuring dipole moments of short-lived particles at the LHC / Neri, N (INFN, Milan ; Milan U. ; CERN) ; Akiba, K (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Alessio, F (CERN) ; Bandiera, L (INFN, Ferrara) ; Benettoni, M (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Cai, R (CERN) ; Cardinale, R (Genoa U.) ; Cesare, S (INFN, Milan ; Milan U.) ; Citterio, M (INFN, Milan ; Milan U.) ; Coco, V (CERN) et al.
ALADDIN is a proposed fixed-target experiment at the LHC for the direct measurement of charm baryon dipole moments. The detector features a spectrometer and a Cherenkov detector, while the experimental technique is based on the phenomena of particle channelling and spin precession in bent crystals. [...]

Study of $B_s^0 \to J/\psi \pi^+ \pi^- K^+ K^-$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
The decays $B^0_s \rightarrow J/\psi \pi^+\pi^- K^+ K^-$ are studied using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb$^{-1}$, collected with the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV. The decays $B^0_s \rightarrow J/\psi K^{\ast0} \bar{K}^{\ast0}$ and $B^0_s \rightarrow \chi_{c1}(3872)K^+K^-$, where the $K^+K^-$ pair does not originate from a $\phi$ meson, are observed for the first time [...]

Measurement of the CKM angle $\gamma$ in $B^\pm\to D K^\pm$ and $B^\pm \to D \pi^\pm$ decays with $D \to K_\mathrm S^0 h^+ h^-$ / LHCb Collaboration
A measurement of $CP$-violating observables is performed using the decays ${B^\pm\to D K^\pm}$ and ${B^\pm\to D \pi^\pm}$, where the $D$ meson is reconstructed in one of the self-conjugate three-body final states $K_{\mathrm S}^0\pi^+\pi^-$ and $K_{\mathrm S}^0K^+K^-$ (commonly denoted $K_{\mathrm S}^0 h^+h^-$). The decays are analysed in bins of the $D$-decay phase space, leading to a measurement that is independent of the modelling of the $D$-decay amplitude. [...]

A search is performed for heavy neutrinos in the decay of a $W$ boson into two muons and a jet. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of approximately $3.0 \text{ fb}^{- 1}$ of proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and $8 \text{ TeV}$ collected with the LHCb experiment. Measurement of differential $b\bar{b}$- and $c\bar{c}$-dijet cross-sections in the forward region of $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13 ~ \mathrm{TeV}$ / LHCb Collaboration
The inclusive $b \bar{b}$- and $c \bar{c}$-dijet production cross-sections in the forward region of $pp$ collisions are measured using a data sample collected with the LHCb detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV in 2016. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.6 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Observation of multiplicity-dependent prompt $\chi_{c1}(3872)$ and $\psi(2S)$ production in $pp$ collisions / LHCb Collaboration
The production of $\chi_{c1}(3872)$ and $\psi(2S)$ hadrons is studied as a function of charged particle multiplicity in $pp$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb$^{-1}$. For both states, the fraction that is produced promptly at the collision vertex is found to decrease as charged particle multiplicity increases. [...]

Search for long-lived particles decaying to $e^{\pm} \mu^{\mp} \nu$ / LHCb Collaboration
Long-lived particles decaying to $e^\pm \mu^\mp \nu$, with masses between 7 and 50 GeV/c$^2$ and lifetimes between 2 and 50 ps, are searched for by looking at displaced vertices containing electrons and muons of opposite charges. The search is performed using 5.4 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions collected with the LHCb detector at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV. [...]

Observation of the $\varLambda^{0}_{b}\to\varLambda^{+}_{c}K^{+}K^{-}\pi^{-}$ decay / LHCb Collaboration
The $\varLambda^{0}_{b}\to\varLambda^{+}_{c}K^{+}K^{-}\pi^{-}$ decay is observed for the first time using a data sample of proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=7$ and 8 $\rm{TeV}$ collected by the $\mbox{LHCb}$ detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3{\rm{fb}^{-1}}$. The ratio of branching fractions between the $\varLambda^{0}_{b}\to\varLambda^{+}_{c}K^{+}K^{-}\pi^{-}$ and the $\varLambda^{0}_{b}\to\varLambda^{+}_{c}D^{-}_{s}$ decays is measured to be \begin{equation*} \frac{\mathcal{B} ( \varLambda^{0}_{b}\to\varLambda^{+}_{c}K^{+}K^{-}\pi^{-}) } {\mathcal{B} ( \varLambda^{0}_{b}\to\varLambda^{+}_{c} D^{-}_{s})} = (9.26 \pm 0.29 \pm 0.46 \pm 0.26)\times10^{-2}, \end{equation*} where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third is due to the knowledge of the $D^{-}_{s}\to K^{+}K^{-}\pi^{-}$ branching fraction. Observation of the $B_s^0 \rightarrow D^{\ast \pm} D^{\mp}$ decay / LHCb Collaboration
A search for the $B^0_s \!\rightarrow D^{*\pm} D^\mp$ decay is performed using proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energies of $7$, $8$ and $13\,\text{TeV}$ collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9\,\text{fb}^{-1}$. The decay is observed with a high significance and its branching fraction relative to the $B^0 \!\rightarrow D^{*\pm} D^\mp$ decay is measured to be \begin{align*} \frac{\mathcal{B}(B_s^0 \rightarrow D^{\ast \pm} D^{\mp}) }{\mathcal{B}(B^0 \rightarrow D^{\ast \pm} D^{\mp}) } = 0.137 \pm 0.017 \pm 0.002 \pm 0.006 \,, \end{align*} where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third is due to the uncertainty on the ratio of the $B_s^0$ and $B^0$ hadronisation fractions..
