The double phase Liquid Argon (LAr) Time Projection Chamber (TPC) is the state-of-art technology for neutrino detection thanks to its superb 3 Dimensional (3D) tracking and calorimetry performance. Based on this technology, the Giant Liquid Argon Charge Imaging ExpeRiment (GLACIER) is proposed to be the far detector for the Long Baseline Neutrino Oscillation (LBNO) experiment aiming at studying neutrinos 2300 km away from their production point. Giant Liquid Argon Observatory for Proton Decay, Neutrino Astrophysics and CP-violation in the Lepton Sector (GLACIER)
/ Badertscher, A (Zurich, ETH) ; Curioni, A ; Degunda, U ; Epprecht, L ; Horikawa, S ; Knecht, L ; Lazzaro, C ; Lussi, D ; Marchionni, A ; Natterer, G et al.
GLACIER (Giant Liquid Argon Charge Imaging ExpeRiment) is a large underground observatory for proton decay search, neutrino astrophysics and CP-violation studies in the lepton sector. Possible underground sites are studied within the FP7 LAGUNA project (Europe) and along the JPARC neutrino beam in collaboration with KEK (Japan). [...]

In this paper we describe the design, construction, and operation of a first large area double-phase liquid argon Large Electron Multiplier Time Projection Chamber (LAr LEM-TPC). The detector has a maximum drift length of 60 cm and the readout consists of a $40\times 76$ cm$^2$ LEM and 2D projective anode to multiply and collect drifting charges. [...]

Towards a liquid Argon TPC without evacuation
: filling of a 6$m^3$ vessel with argon gas from air to ppm impurities concentration through flushing
/ Curioni, A (Zurich, ETH) ; Epprecht, L (Zurich, ETH) ; Gendotti, A (Zurich, ETH) ; Knecht, L (Zurich, ETH) ; Lussi, D (Zurich, ETH) ; Marchionni, A (Zurich, ETH) ; Natterer, G (Zurich, ETH) ; Resnati, F (Zurich, ETH) ; Rubbia, A (Zurich, ETH) ; Coleman, J (Liverpool U.) et al.
In this paper we present a successful experimental test of filling a volume of 6 $m^3$ with argon gas, starting from normal ambient air and reducing the impurities content down to few parts per million (ppm) oxygen equivalent. [...]
