Light sterile neutrino sensitivity at the nuSTORM facility / nuSTORM Collaboration
A facility that can deliver beams of electron and muon neutrinos from the decay of a stored muon beam has the potential to unambiguously resolve the issue of the evidence for light sterile neutrinos that arises in short-baseline neutrino oscillation experiments and from estimates of the effective number of neutrino flavors from fits to cosmological data. In this paper, we show that the nuSTORM facility, with stored muons of 3.8 GeV/c $\pm$ 10%, will be able to carry out a conclusive muon neutrino appearance search for sterile neutrinos and test the LSND and MiniBooNE experimental signals with 10$\sigma$ sensitivity, even assuming conservative estimates for the systematic uncertainties. Measurement of the $B_s^0$ lifetime in the flavor-specific decay channel $B_s^0 \to D_s^- \mu^+\nu X$ / D0 Collaboration
We present an updated measurement of the $B_s^0$ lifetime from the D0 collaboration using the semileptonic decays $B_s^0\rightarrow D_s^-\mu^+\nu X$, with $D_s^- \to \phi \pi^-$ and $\phi \to K^+K^-$ (and the charge conjugate process). This measurement uses the full Tevatron Run II sample of proton-antiproton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 1.96$~TeV, comprising an integrated luminosity of 10.4~fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Precision measurement of the mass and lifetime of the $\Xi_b^0$ baryon / LHCb collaboration
Using a proton-proton collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb$^{-1}$ collected by LHCb at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, about 3800 $\Xi_b^0\to\Xi_c^+\pi^-$, $\Xi_c^+\to pK^-\pi^+$ signal decays are reconstructed. From this sample, the first measurement of the $\Xi_b^0$ baryon lifetime is made, relative to that of the $\Lambda_b^0$ baryon. [...]

Study of beauty hadron decays into pairs of charm hadrons / LHCb collaboration
First observations of the decays $\Lambda_b^0 \to \Lambda_c^+ D_{(s)}^-$ are reported using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ collected at 7 and 8 TeV center-of-mass energy in proton-proton collisions with the LHCb detector. In addition, the most precise measurement of the branching fraction ${\mathcal{B}(B_s^0 \to D^+D_s^-)}$ is made and a search is performed for the decays $B^0_{(s)} \to \Lambda_c^+ \Lambda_c^-$. [...]

Using the full CDF Run II data sample, we report evidence for a new resonance, which we refer to as B(5970), found simultaneously in the $B^0\pi^+$ and $B^+\pi^-$ mass distributions with a significance of 4.4 standard deviations. We further report the first study of resonances consistent with orbitally excited $B^{+}$ mesons and an updated measurement of the properties of orbitally excited $B^0$ and $B_s^0$ mesons. [...]

Evidence of $CP$ violation in $B^+\to p\bar{p}K^+$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
Three-body $B^+\to p \overline p K^+$ and $B^+\to p \overline p \pi^+$ decays are studied using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 $fb^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of $7$ and $8$ TeV. Evidence of $CP$ violation in the $B^+\to p \overline p K^+$ decay is found in regions of the phase space, representing the first measurement of this kind for a final state containing baryons. [...]

A precise measurement of the $W$-boson mass with the Collider Detector at Fermilab / Aaltonen, Timo Antero (Helsinki U. ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Amerio, Silvia (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Amidei, Dante E (Michigan U.) ; Anastassov, Anton Iankov (Fermilab ; Northwestern U.) ; Annovi, Alberto (Frascati) ; Antos, Jaroslav (Comenius U. ; Kosice, IEF) ; Apollinari, Giorgio (Fermilab) ; Appel, Jeffrey A (Fermilab) ; Arisawa, Tetsuo (Waseda U.) ; Artikov, Akram Muzafarovich (Dubna, JINR) et al. /R. We present a measurement of the $W$-boson mass, $M_W$, using data corresponding to 2.2/fb of integrated luminosity collected in ppbar collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 1.96 TeV with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The selected sample of 470126 $W\to e\nu$ candidates and 624708 $W\to\mu\nu$ candidates yields the measurement $M_W = 80387\pm 12$ (stat) $\pm 15$ (syst)$ = 80387 \pm 19$ MeV$/c^2$ . [...]

Infinitely many inequivalent field theories from one Lagrangian / Bender, Carl M. (Washington U., St. Louis ; King's Coll. London ; London, City U.) ; Hook, Daniel W. (Washington U., St. Louis ; Imperial Coll., London) ; Mavromatos, Nick E. (King's Coll. London ; CERN) ; Sarkar, Sarben (King's Coll. London)
Logarithmic time-like Liouville quantum field theory has a generalized PT invariance, where T is the time-reversal operator and P stands for an S-duality reflection of the Liouville field $\phi$. In Euclidean space the Lagrangian of such a theory, $L=\frac{1}{2}(\nabla\phi)^2-ig\phi\exp(ia\phi)$, is analyzed using the techniques of PT-symmetric quantum theory. [...]
