Parton Showering Effects in Central Heavy-Boson Hadroproduction / Deak, M (Madrid, IFT) ; Grebenyuk, A (DESY) ; Hautmann, F (Oxford U.) ; Jung, H (DESY ; Antwerp U.) ; Kutak, K (DESY)
If large-angle multigluon radiation contributes significantly to parton showers associated with heavy boson production at the LHC, appropriate parton branching methods are required for realistic Monte Carlo simulations of final states. We report on a study illustrating such effects in the case of central scalar-boson production. [...]

Forward Jets and Energy Flow in Hadronic Collisions / Deak, M (Madrid, IFT ; Santiago de Compostela U.) ; Hautmann, F (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Jung, H (DESY ; CERN ; Antwerp U.) ; Kutak, K (Cracow, INP)
We observe that at the Large Hadron Collider, using forward + central detectors, it becomes possible for the first time to carry out calorimetric measurements of the transverse energy flow due to ``minijets" accompanying production of two jets separated by a large rapidity interval. We present parton-shower calculations of energy flow observables in a high-energy factorized Monte Carlo framework, designed to take into account QCD logarithmic corrections both in the large rapidity interval and in the hard transverse momentum. Parton shower contributions to jets from high rapidities at the LHC / Deak, M. (Santiago de Compostela U.) ; Hautmann, F. (Oxford U.) ; Jung, H. (DESY ; CERN) ; Kutak, K. (Cracow, INP)
We discuss current issues associated with the dependence of jet distributions at the LHC on the behavior of QCD parton showers for high rapidities..

Parton-shower event generators that go beyond the collinear-ordering approximation at small x have so far included only gluon and valence quark channels at transverse momentum dependent level. [...]

TMD PDFs: a Monte Carlo implementation for the sea quark distribution / Hautmann, F (Oxford U.) ; Hentschinski, M (Madrid, IFT) ; Jung, H (CERN ; DESY)
This article gives an introduction to transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton distribution functions and their use in shower Monte Carlo event generators for high-energy hadron collisions, and describes recent progress in the treatment of sea quark effects within a TMD parton-shower framework..

TMDs and Monte Carlo Event Generators / Hautmann, F. (Oxford U. ; Antwerp U. ; Basque U., Bilbao ; CERN)
We discuss prospects for Monte Carlo event generators incorporating the dynamics of transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton distribution functions. We illustrate TMD evolution in the parton branching formalism, and present Monte Carlo applications of the method..

Single and double inclusive forward jet production at the LHC at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 and 13 TeV / Bury, Marcin (Cracow, INP) ; Deak, Michal (Cracow, INP) ; Kutak, Krzysztof (Cracow, INP) ; Sapeta, Sebastian (Cracow, INP ; CERN)
We provide a description of the transverse momentum spectrum of single inclusive forward jets produced at the LHC, at the center-of-mass energies of 7 and 13 TeV, using the high energy factorization (HEF) framework. We subsequently study double inclusive forward jet production and, in particular, we calculate contributions to azimuthal angle distributions coming from double parton scattering. [...]

Unintegrated sea quark at small x and vector boson production / Hautmann, F (U. Oxford (main)) ; Hentschinski, Martin (Madrid, Autonoma U.) ; Jung, H (DESY ; CERN)
Parton-shower event generators that go beyond the collinear-ordering approximation at small x have so far included only gluon and valence quark channels at transverse momentum dependent level. In this contribution we provide a denition of a transverse momentum depend (TMD) sea quark distribution valid in the small x region, which is based on the TMD gluon-to-quark splitting function. [...]

QCD Matrix Elements + Parton Showers / Catani, S. (CERN) ; Krauss, F. (Cambridge U.) ; Kuhn, R. (Dresden, Tech. U. ; Dresden, Max Planck Inst.) ; Webber, B.R. (Cambridge U.)
We propose a method for combining QCD matrix elements and parton showers in Monte Carlo simulations of hadronic final states in $e^+e^-$ annihilation. The matrix element and parton shower domains are separated at some value $y_{ini}$ of the jet resolution, defined according to the $k_T$-clustering algorithm. [...]
