Surface quality studies of high T$_{c}$ superconductors of the Hg , Tl and Hg$_{x}$Tl$_{1-x}$-families : RBS and resonant C and O backscattering studies / Vantomme, A ; Alves, E ; Correia, J G ; Bryntse, I ; Johansson, L G ; Loureiro, S M ; Le Floc'h, S ; Toulemonde, T ; Bordet, P ; Bougerol-Chaillout, C
The composition, crystallinity, uniformity, purity, and thermal stability of cuprate superconductors have been studied by Rutherford backscattering and channeling spectrometry, and 3.045 MeV He$^{+}$ oxygen non-Rutherford resonant scattering. Further experiments have been performed with 1.75 MeV H$^{+}$carbon non-Rutherford resonant scattering. [...]

Local probing of Hg neighboorhood in HgBa$_{2}$CuO$_{4+\delta}$ / IS360 Collaboration
Electric field gradients (EFG) on mercury sites of the Hg1201 high-TC superconductors were measured with the perturbed angular correlation (PAC) technique. In Hg1201 samples where PAC detects higher oxygen content the EFGs have decreased to lower values indicating an elongation of the Hg-apical oxygen dumb-bell. [...]

Perturbed angular correlations studies in the HgBa$_2$CaCu$_2$O$_{6+\delta}$ high-T$_c$ superconductor / Mendonca, Tania Melo (Porto U.) ; Correia, Joao Guilherme (ITN, Sacavem) ; Haas, Heinz (ITN, Sacavem) ; Odier, Philippe (Neel Lab, Grenoble) ; Tavares, Pedro (UTAD, Vila Real) ; SIlva, Manuel Ribeiro (Lisbon U., CFNUL) ; Lopes, Armandina (Lisbon U., CFNUL) ; Darie, Celine (Neel Lab, Grenoble) ; Araujo, Joao Pedro (Porto U.)
The electric field gradients at $^{199m}$Hg nuclei have been measured via the perturbed angular correlation (PAC) technique, allowing a full characterization of the Hg neighborhood charge distribution at high oxygen doping on the Hg planes. The PAC technique has been applied to investigate the effect of high oxygen pressure during the measurement. [...]

Local O$_{\delta}$ probing in the high-$T_{C}$ superconductor HgBa$_{2}$CuO$_{4+\delta}$ / ISOLDE Collaboration
Electric-field gradients on mercury sites of the HgBa$_{2}$CuO$_{4+\delta}$ high-$T_{C}$ superconductor were measured with the perturbed angular correlation technique and interpreted with $\textit{ab initio}$ calculations. Under oxygen annealing, an asymmetric electric-field gradient has been assigned to the presence of single oxygen atoms, O$_{\delta}$ , which are located in the Hg planes. [...]

Lattice sites and collective ordering of oxygen atoms in HgBa$_2$CaCu$_2$O$_{6+\delta}$ were studied using the perturbed angular correlation (PAC) technique at ISOLDE/CERN. The electric field gradients (EFG) at $^{199m}$Hg nuclei have been measured as functions of oxygen doping on the Hg planes, above and below T$_c$. [...]

Atomic ordering of the fluorine dopant in the $HgBa_{2}CuO_{4+\delta}high-T_{c}$ superconductor / Correia, João Guilherme ; Amaral, Vitor S ; Araújo, João Pedro ; Bordet, P ; Haas, Heinz ; Le Floc'h, S ; Lopes, A M L ; Rita, E ; Carvalho-Soares, João
Lattice sites and collective ordering of fluorine atoms in oxygen- reduced samples of HgBa/sub 2/CuO/sub 4/ were investigated with the perturbed angular correlation technique by measuring the electric field gradients induced at /sup 199m/Hg nuclei. The experimental data were interpreted with the help of ab initio calculations of charge distributions for different fluorine configurations in Hg/sub m/Ba /sub 2m/Cu/sub m/O/sub 4m/F/sub n/, supercells.
