Status of Layout Studies for Fixed-Target Experiments in Alice Based on Crystal-Assisted Halo Splitting / Patecki, Marcin (Warsaw U. of Tech.) ; Fomin, Alex (CERN) ; Kikoła, Daniel (Warsaw U. of Tech.) ; Mirarchi, Daniele (CERN) ; Redaelli, Stefano (CERN)
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) is the world largest and most powerful particle accelerator colliding beams of protons and lead ions at energies up to 7 TeV and 2.76 TeV, respectively. ALICE is one of the detector experiments optimised for heavy-ion collisions. [...]

Layouts for Feasibility Studies of Fixed-Target Experiments at the LHC / Hermes, Pascal (CERN) ; Dewhurst, Kay (CERN) ; Fomin, Alex (CERN) ; Mirarchi, Daniele (CERN) ; Redaelli, Stefano (CERN)
The Physics Beyond Colliders (PBC) study investigates means of exploiting the potential of the CERN accelerator complex to complement the laboratory’s scientific programme at the main Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiments. The LHC fixed-target (FT) working group studies new experiments at beam energies up to 7 TeV. [...]

HL-LHC layout for fixed-target experiments in ALICE based on crystal-assisted beam halo splitting / Patecki, Marcin (Warsaw U. of Tech.) ; Mirarchi, Daniele (CERN) ; Redaelli, Stefano (CERN) ; Fomin, Alex (CERN) ; Hadjidakis, Cynthia (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Galluccio, Francesca (INFN, Naples) ; Scandale, Walter (Imperial Coll., London ; INFN, Rome)
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) is the world's largest and most powerful particle accelerator colliding beams of protons and lead ions at energies up to 7 ZTeV, Z is the atomic number. ALICE is one of the detector experiments optimised for heavy-ion collisions. [...]

Performance of a double-crystal setup for LHC fixed-target experiments / Dewhurst, K A (CERN) ; D'Andrea, M (CERN) ; Hermes, P D (CERN) ; Mirarchi, D (CERN) ; Redaelli, S (CERN) ; Patecki, M (Warsaw U. of Tech.)
The Physics Beyond Colliders (PBC) studies at CERN address the possibility to utilise protons in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) for a fixed-target program beyond the colliding-beam physics. As part of PBC, a double-crystal test stand is considered for installation in the LHC off-momentum collimation Insertion Region (IR) 3. [...]

A fixed-target programme at the LHC for heavy-ion, hadron, spin and astroparticle physics: AFTER@LHC / AFTER@LHC study Collaboration
Thanks to its multi-TeV LHC proton and lead beams, the LHC complex allows one to perform the most energetic fixed-target experiments ever and to study with high precision pp, pd and pA collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 115$ GeV and Pbp and PbA collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 72$ GeV. We present a selection of feasibility studies for the production of quarkonia, open heavy-flavor mesons as well as light-flavor hadrons in pA and PbA collisions using the LHCb and ALICE detectors in a fixed-target mode..
