/ Adair, C.M. (British Columbia U.) ; Altenmüller, K. (Zaragoza U.) ; Anastassopoulos, V. (Patras U.) ; Cuendis, S. Arguedas (CERN) ; Baier, J. (Freiburg U.) ; Barth, K. (CERN) ; Belov, A. The CAST-CAPP axion haloscope, operating at CERN inside the CAST dipole magnet, has searched for axions in the 19.74 $\mu$eV to 22.47 $\mu$eV mass range. The detection concept follows the Sikivie haloscope principle, where Dark Matter axions convert into photons within a resonator immersed in a magnetic field. [...]

First results of the CAST-RADES haloscope search for axions at 34.67 $\mu$eV
/ CAST Collaboration
We present results of the Relic Axion Dark-Matter Exploratory Setup (RADES), a detector which is part of the CERN Axion Solar Telescope (CAST), searching for axion dark matter in the 34.67$\mu$eV mass range. A radio frequency cavity consisting of 5 sub-cavities coupled by inductive irises took physics data inside the CAST dipole magnet for the first time using this filter-like haloscope geometry. [...]

We report on a first measurement with a sensitive opto-mechanical force sensor designed for the direct detection of coupling of real chameleons to matter. These dark energy candidates could be produced in the Sun and stream unimpeded to Earth. [...]

/ Borghi, S (CERN ; Glasgow U.) ; Arik, E (Dogus U., Kadikoy ; Bogazici U.) ; Aune, S (IRFU, Saclay) ; Autiero, D (CERN ; Lyon, IPN) ; Barth, K (CERN) ; Belov, A (Moscow, INR) ; Beltrán, B (Zaragoza U.) ; Bourlis, G (Hellenic Open U., Patras) ; Boydag, F S (Dogus U., Kadikoy ; Bogazici U.) ; Bräuninger, H (Garching, Max Planck Inst., MPE) et al.
/CAST
The CAST (CERN Axion Solar Telescope) experiment is searching for solar axions by their conversion into photons inside the magnet pipe of a LHC prototype dipole. In the phase II, CAST is operating with a buffer gas inside the magnet bore apertures in order to extent the sensitivity of the experiment to larger axion masses. [...]

New CAST Limit on the Axion-Photon Interaction
/ CAST Collaboration
During 2003--2015, the CERN Axion Solar Telescope (CAST) has searched for $a\to\gamma$ conversion in the 9 T magnetic field of a refurbished LHC test magnet that can be directed toward the Sun. In its final phase of solar axion searches (2013--2015), CAST has returned to evacuated magnet pipes, which is optimal for small axion masses. [...]

An update on the Axion Helioscopes front: current activities at CAST and the IAXO project

Although they have not yet been detected, axions and axion-like particles (ALPs) continue to maintain the interest (even increasingly so) of the rare-event searches community as viable candidates for the Dark Matter of the Universe but also as a solution for several other puzzles of astrophysics. Their property of coupling to photons has inspired different experimental methods for their detection, one of which is the helioscope technique. [...]

Search for chameleons with CAST
/ CAST Collaboration
In this work we present a search for (solar) chameleons with the CERN Axion Solar Telescope (CAST). This novel experimental technique, in the field of dark energy research, exploits both the chameleon coupling to matter ($\beta_{\rm m}$) and to photons ($\beta_{\gamma}$) via the Primakoff effect. New solar axion search in CAST with $^4$He filling
/ CAST Collaboration
The CERN Axion Solar Telescope (CAST) searches for $a\to\gamma$ conversion in the 9 T magnetic field of a refurbished LHC test magnet that can be directed toward the Sun. Two parallel magnet bores can be filled with helium of adjustable pressure to match the X-ray refractive mass $m_\gamma$ to the axion search mass $m_a$. [...]
