Measurement of four-jet production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Measurements of the differential cross sections for the production of exactly four jets in proton-proton collisions are presented as a function of the transverse momentum $p_T$ and pseudorapidity $\eta$, together with the correlations in azimuthal angle and the $p_T$ balance among the jets. The data sample was collected in 2010 at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC, with an integrated luminosity of 36 inverse picobarns. [...]

Jet and underlying event properties as a function of charged-particle multiplicity in proton–proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Characteristics of multi-particle production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=7 TeV are studied as a function of the charged-particle multiplicity, $N_{ch}$. The produced particles are separated into two classes: those belonging to jets and those belonging to the underlying event. [...]

Measurement of the hadronic activity in events with a Z and two jets and extraction of the cross section for the electroweak production of a Z with two jets in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The first measurement of the electroweak production cross section of a Z boson with two jets (Zjj) in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV is presented, based on a data sample recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC with an integrated luminosity of 5 inverse femtobarns. The cross section is measured for the lljj (l = e, $\mu$) final state in the kinematic region $m_{ll} \gt$ 50 GeV, $m_{jj} \gt$ 120 GeV, transverse momenta $p_T^{j} \gt$ 25 GeV and pseudorapidity abs($\eta^{j}$) $\lt$ 4.0. Study of exclusive two-photon production of $W^{+}W^{-}$ in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ =7 TeV and constraints on anomalous quartic gauge couplings / CMS Collaboration
A search for exclusive or quasi-exclusive $W^+ W^-$ production by photon-photon interactions, $pp \to p^{(*)}W^+W^-p^{(*)}$, at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV is reported using data collected by the CMS detector with an integrated luminosity of 5.05 inverse femtobarns. Events are selected by requiring a $\mu^{\pm}e^{\mp}$ vertex with no additional associated charged tracks and dilepton transverse momentum $p_T(\mu^{\pm}e^{\mp}) \gt $ 30 GeV. [...]

A New Boson with a Mass of 125 GeV Observed with the CMS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider / CMS Collaboration
The Higgs boson was postulated nearly five decades ago within the framework of the standard model of particle physics and has been the subject of numerous searches at accelerators around the world. Its discovery would verify the existence of a complex scalar field thought to give mass to three of the carriers of the electroweak force—the W+, W–, and Z0 bosons—as well as to the fundamental quarks and leptons. Study of the underlying event at forward rapidity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 0.9, 2.76, and 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The underlying event activity in proton-proton collisions at forward pseudorapidity (-6.6 $\lt \eta \lt$ -5.2) is studied with the CMS detector at the LHC, using a novel observable: the ratio of the forward energy density, dE/d$\eta$, for events with a charged-particle jet produced at central pseudorapidity (abs(eta[jet]) $\lt$ 2) to the forward energy density for inclusive events. This forward energy density ratio is measured as a function of the central jet transverse momentum, pt, at three different pp centre-of-mass energies ($\sqrt{s}$ = 0.9, 2.76, and 7 TeV). [...]

Measurement of the inelastic proton-proton cross section at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A measurement is presented of the inelastic proton-proton cross section at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV. Using the CMS detector at the LHC, the inelastic cross section is measured through two independent methods based on information from (i) forward calorimetry (for pseudorapidity 3 < abs(eta) < 5), in collisions where at least one proton loses more than 5E-6 of its longitudinal momentum, and (ii) the central tracker (abs(eta) < 2.4), in collisions containing an interaction vertex with more than 1, 2, or 3 tracks with transverse momenta pt > 200 MeV. Observation of a diffractive contribution to dijet production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The cross section for dijet production in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV is presented as a function of xi, a variable that approximates the fractional momentum loss of the scattered proton in single-diffractive events. The analysis is based on an integrated luminosity of 2.7 inverse nanobarns collected with the CMS detector at the LHC at low instantaneous luminosities, and uses events with jet transverse momentum of at least 20 GeV.
