Emittance Estimates for the Future Circular Collider / van Riesen-Haupt, Léon (CERN) ; Charles, Tessa K (Liverpool U.) ; Tomás García, Rogelio (CERN) ; Zimmermann, Frank (CERN)
The alignment strategy of the FCC-ee has a large impact on its luminosity. Larger alignment tolerances result in increased coupling and a subsequently higher vertical emittance. [...]

Modelling FCC-ee Using MADX / van Riesen-Haupt, Léon (CERN) ; Burkhardt, Helmut (CERN) ; Persson, Tobias (CERN) ; Tomás García, Rogelio (CERN)
We present the latest developments for simulating FCC-ee using CERN’s MADX software. Along with updated benchmark studies, we describe how the latest MADX updates can facilitate the simulation of FCC-ee design features, including improvements in tapering and different options for implementing a tilted solenoid..

Low-emittance Tuning for Circular Colliders / Charles, Tessa (Melbourne U.) ; Aumon, Sandra (CERN) ; Holzer, Bernhard (CERN) ; Oide, Katsunobu (CERN ; KEK, Tsukuba) ; Tydecks, Tobias (CERN) ; Zimmermann, Frank (CERN)
The 100 km FCC-ee e⁺/e⁻ circular collider requires luminosities in the order of 10³⁵ cm⁻² s⁻¹ and very low emittances of 0.27 nm·prad for the horizontal plane and 1 pm·prad in the vertical. In order to reach these requirements, extreme focusing of the beam is needed in the interaction regions, leading to a vertical beta function of 0.8 mm at the IP. [...]

Several Topics on Beam Dynamics in FCC-ee / Oide, Katsunobu (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Aumon, Sandra (CERN) ; Charles, Tessa (CERN) ; El Khechen, Dima (CERN) ; Shatilov, Dmitry (Novosibirsk, IYF) ; Tydecks, Tobias (CERN)
The FCC-ee is a double-ring $e^+e^-$ collider to be installed in a common tunnel of∼ 100km circumference, as a po- tential first step before the FCC-hh hadron collider. Several studies on the beam dynamics at FCC-ee: low emittance tuning, dynamic aperture, beam blowup with/without beam beam, are introduced in the paper..

The Impact of Beam Position Monitor Tilts on Coupling Measurements / van Riesen-Haupt, Léon (CERN) ; Tomás García, Rogelio (CERN)
The measurement and correction of coupling resonance driving terms is a key tool for improving the performance of synchrotrons. These terms are measured by exciting the beam and observing the subsequent motion in the horizontal and vertical planes through beam position monitors. [...]

Update on the Low Emittance Tuning of the e⁺/e⁻ Future Circular Collider / Charles, Tessa K (Liverpool U. ; Cockcroft Inst. Accel. Sci. Tech.) ; Holzer, Bernhard (CERN) ; Oide, Katsunobu (KEK, Tsukuba ; CERN) ; Zimmermann, Frank (CERN)
The FCC-ee project studies the design of a future 100 km e+/e circular collider for precision studies and rare decay observations in the range of 90 to 350 GeV center of mass energy with luminosities in the order of 10³⁵ cm⁻² s⁻¹. To achieve ultra-low vertical emittance a highly effective emittance tuning scheme is required. [...]

MAD-X for Future Accelerators / Persson, Tobias (CERN) ; Burkhardt, Helmut (CERN) ; De Maria, Riccardo (CERN) ; Deniau, Laurent (CERN) ; Høydalsvik, Eirik (CERN) ; Latina, Andrea (CERN) ; Skowroński, Piotr (CERN) ; Tomás García, Rogelio (CERN) ; van Riesen-Haupt, Léon (CERN)
The development of MAD-X was started more than 20 years ago and it still remains the main tool for single particle dynamics for both optics design, error studies as well as for operational model-based software at CERN. In this article, we outline some of the recent development of MAD-X and plans for the future. [...]
