Software & computing challenges from the ATLAS Trigger and Data Acquisition System / Vandelli, Wainer (European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN) ; ATLAS Collaboration /ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS Trigger and Data-Acquisition (TDAQ) system is a large heterogeneous computing infrastructure operated in quasi-realtime. The software and computing challenges of the current TDAQ system and in particular of the upcoming Phase-II upgrade will be presented and discussed..

Modelling Resource Utilization of a Large Data Acquisition System / Santos, Alejandro (Kirchhoff-Institut f\"{u}r Physik) ; Garcia Garcia, Pedro Javier ; Vandelli, Wainer (European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN) ; Froening, Holger /ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS 'Phase-II' upgrade, scheduled to start in 2024, will significantly change the requirements under which the data-acquisition system operates. The input data rate, currently fixed around 150 GB/s, is anticipated to reach 5 TB/s. [...]

ATLAS Trigger and Data Acquisition Upgrades for the High Luminosity LHC / Vandelli, Wainer (European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN) ; ATLAS Collaboration /ATLAS Collaboration
ATLAS Trigger and Data Acquisition Upgrades for the High Luminosity LHC The ATLAS experiment at CERN has started the construction of upgrades for the "High Luminosity LHC", with collisions due to start in 2026. In order to deliver an order of magnitude more data than previous LHC runs, 14 TeV protons will collide with an instantaneous luminosity of up to 7.5x1034 cm-2s-1, resulting in much higher pileup and data rates than the current experiment was designed to handle. [...]

Automated load balancing in the ATLAS high-performance storage software / Le Goff, Fabrice (European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN) ; Vandelli, Wainer (European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN) /ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS experiment collects proton-proton collision events delivered by the LHC accelerator at CERN. The ATLAS Trigger and Data Acquisition (TDAQ) system selects, transports and eventually records event data from the detector at several gigabytes per second. [...]

The Evolution of the Region of Interest Builder in the ATLAS Experiment at CERN / Rifki, Othmane (Homer L. Dodge Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Oklahoma) ; Blair, Robert (Argonne National Laboratory) ; Crone, Gordon Jeremy (Department of Physics and Astronomy, University College London) ; Green, Barry (Department of Physics, Royal Holloway and Bedford New College) ; Love, Jeremy (Argonne National Laboratory) ; Proudfoot, James (Argonne National Laboratory) ; Panduro Vazquez, William (Department of Physics, Royal Holloway and Bedford New College) ; Vandelli, Wainer (CERN) ; Zhang, Jinlong (Argonne National Laboratory)
ATLAS is a general purpose particle detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN designed to measure the products of proton collisions. Given their high interaction rate (1GHz), selective triggering in real time is required to reduce the rate to the experiment’s data storage capacity (1KHz) [...]
