New measurement of transverse spin effects in (di-)hadron production from muon-deuteron semi-inclusive DIS at COMPASS / Asatryan, Siranush (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) /COMPASS Collaboration
The COMPASS experiment is a fixed-target high-energy physics experiment that has been collecting data for 20 years (2002 to 2022) at the M2 beamline (SPS, North Area) at CERN. One of the goals of the experiment's broad physics program was to perform semi-inclusive measurements of target-spin dependent asymmetries in (di-)hadron production in deep inelastic scattering (DIS) with high-energy muons scattering off polarized nucleons. [...]

Transversely polarized Drell-Yan measurements at COMPASS / Parsamyan, Bakur (CERN ; INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) /COMPASS Collaboration
The exploration of the transverse spin structure of the nucleon by measuring spin (in)dependent azimuthal asymmetries in semi-inclusive DIS (SIDIS) and in Drell-Yan processes is one of the main objectives of the COMPASS experiment at CERN (SPS, M2 beamline). During the first phase of the experiment (2002-2011) a series of SIDIS measurements were performed, using a longitudinally polarized muon beam impinging on transversely polarized $^6$LiD or NH$_3$ targets. [...]

Transversity signals at COMPASS / Sozzi, Federica (Trieste U. ; INFN,Trieste) /for the COMPASS Collaboration
COMPASS is a fixed target experiment at the CERN SPS, with a rich physics program focused on nucleon spin structure and on hadron spectroscopy. One of the main goals of the spin program is the measurement of the transverse spin distribution function $\Delta_T q(x)$ in semi-inclusive DIS off transversely polarized nucleons. [...]

Single target-spin asymmetries in semi-inclusive pion electroproduction on longitudinally polarized protons / Kotsinian, A.M. (CERN ; Dubna, JINR) ; Oganesian, K.A. (Frascati) ; Avakian, H.R. (Frascati) ; De Sanctis, E. (Frascati)
We evaluate the single target-spin sin(phi_h) and sin(2\phi_h) azimuthal asymmetries in the semi-inclusive deep inelastic lepton scattering off longitudinally polarized proton target under HERMES kinematic conditions. A good agreement with the HERMES data can be achieved using only the twist-2 distribution and fragmentation functions..

Transverse Spin Effects and TMDs in Semi-Inclusive DIS from the COMPASS Experiment at CERN / Joosten, Rainer (Bonn U., HISKP) /on behalf of the COMPASS collaboration
The measurement of azimuthal single spin asymmetries in semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering (SIDIS) on a transversely polarized target is an important part of the COMPASS program, giving access to the transversity distribution functions as well as transverse momentum dependent distribution functions. After COMPASS took data in the years 2002- 2004 by scattering a 160 GeV$/c$ muon beam off a transversely polarized deuteron ($^{6}$LiD) target, in 2007 and 2010 additional data was collected on a transversely polarized proton (NH$_{3}$) target. Beyond Collins and Sivers: further measurements of the target transverse spin-dependent azimuthal asymmetries in semi-inclusive DIS from COMPASS / Kotzinian, Aram (INFN, Turin) /COMPASS Collaboration
In semi-inclusive DIS of polarized leptons on a transversely polarized target eight azimuthal modulations appear in the cross-section. Within QCD parton model four azimuthal asymmetries can be interpreted at leading order, two of them being the already measured Collins and Sivers asymmetries. [...]
