Diamond Detector Technology: Status and Perspectives / RD42 Collaboration
The radiation tolerance of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamond against different particle species and energies has been studied in beam tests and is presented. We also present beam test results on signal size as a function of incident particle rate in charged particle detectors based on un-irradiated and irradiated poly-crystalline CVD diamond over a range of particle fluxes from 2 kHz/cm$^2$ to 20 MHz/cm$^2$. Isotopic Composition of Light Nuclei in Cosmic Rays: Results from AMS-01 / AMS-01 Collaboration
The variety of isotopes in cosmic rays allows us to study different aspects of the processes that cosmic rays undergo between the time they are produced and the time of their arrival in the heliosphere. In this paper, we present measurements of the isotopic ratios $^2$H/$^4$He, $^3$He/$^4$He, $^6$Li/$7$Li, $7$Be/($^9$Be+$^{10}$Be), and $^{10}$B/$^{11}$B in the range 0.2-1.4 GeV of kinetic energy per nucleon. Search for heavy neutrinos mixing with $\tau$ neutrinos / NOMAD Collaboration
We report on a search for heavy neutrinos ($\nus$) produced in the decay $D_s\to \tau \nus$ at the SPS proton target followed by the decay $\nudecay$ in the NOMAD detector.\ Both decays are expected to occur if $\nus$ is a component of $\nu_{\tau}$.\ From the analysis of the data collected during the 1996-1998 runs with $4.1\times10^{19}$ protons on target, a single candidate event consistent with background expectations was found.\ %No evidence for this decay chain has been found This allows to derive for the first time an upper limit on the mixing strength between the heavy neutrino and the tau neutrino in the $\nus$ mass range from 10 to 190 $\rm MeV$.\ Windows between the SN1987a and Big Bang Nucleosynthesis lower limits and our result are still open for future experimental searches.\ The results obtained are used to constrain an interpretation of the time anomaly observed in the KARMEN1 detector..

The CMS Phase-1 Pixel Detector Upgrade / CMS Tracker Group of the CMS Collaboration
The CMS detector at the CERN LHC features a silicon pixel detector as its innermost subdetector. The original CMS pixel detector has been replaced with an upgraded pixel system (CMS Phase-1 pixel detector) in the extended year-end technical stop of the LHC in 2016/2017. [...]

Comparative evaluation of analogue front-end designs for the CMS Inner Tracker at the High Luminosity LHC / CMS Tracker Group of the CMS Collaboration
The CMS Inner Tracker, made of silicon pixel modules, will be entirely replaced prior to the start of the High Luminosity LHC period. One of the crucial components of the new Inner Tracker system is the readout chip, being developed by the RD53 Collaboration, and in particular its analogue front-end, which receives the signal from the sensor and digitizes it. Measurement of the fractional radiation length of a pixel module for the CMS Phase-2 upgrade via the multiple scattering of positrons / Tracker Group of the CMS Collaboration
High-luminosity particle collider experiments such as the ones planned at the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider require ever-greater vertexing precision of the tracking detectors, necessitating also reductions in the material budget of the detectors. Traditionally, the fractional radiation length ($x/X_0$) of detectors is either estimated using known properties of the constituent materials, or measured in dedicated runs of the final detector. Test beam performance of a CBC3-based mini-module for the Phase-2 CMS Outer Tracker before and after neutron irradiation / Tracker Group of the CMS Collaboration
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN will undergo major upgrades to increase the instantaneous luminosity up to 5-7.5$\times10^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$. This High Luminosity upgrade of the LHC (HL-LHC) will deliver a total of 3000-4000 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13-14 TeV. [...]
