Gain stabilization of SiPMs / Polák, Ivo (Prague, Inst. Phys.)
The gain G of SiPMs depends both on bias voltage and on temperature. For stable operation in large detector systems, gain needs to be kept constant [...]

Scintillator Tile Hadron Calorimeter with Novel SiPM Readout / Danilov, M. (Moscow, ITEP) /CALICE Collaboration
The CALICE collaboration is presently constructing a test hadron calorimeter (HCAL) with 7620 scintillator tiles read out by novel photo-detectors - Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs). This prototype is the first device which uses SiPMs on a large scale. [...]

We have designed and developed the adaptive power supply to keep the gain of SiPMs in the analog hadron calorimeter of the CALICE Linear Collider detector stable at the level of 1%. This power supply compensates automatically the bias voltage for temperature variations in the range 5 °C to 40 °C. [...]

Calibration System with Optical Fibers for Calorimeters at Future Linear Collider Experiments / Zalesak, Jaroslav (Prague, Inst. Phys.) /CALICE Collaboration
We report on several versions of the calibration and monitoring system dedicated to scintillator tile calorimeters built within the CALICE collaboration and intended for future linear collider experiments. Whereas the first, a 1 m3 analogue hadron calorimeter prototype, was already built and tested in beam, second-technological prototype-is currently being developed. [...]

Low temperature characteristics of SiPMs after very high neutron irradiation / Heering, A ; Musienko, Yu ; Gonzales, J (CERN) ; Karneyeu, A ; Wayne, M ; Ruchti, R ; Moll, M
The design of the CMS phase II upgrade for the HL-LHC uses SiPMs for the Barrel Timing Layer (BTL) and the Behind HCAL detector (BH or CEH). In both sub-detectors the SiPMs will see a 1 MeV equivalent dose of around n/cm. [...]
