Applying the frozen-spin technique in a compact3 T solenoid will enable a search for the muon electricdipole moment (EDM) with unprecedented sensitivity, improving uponthe current direct limit by approximately a factor of 1000. Afterinjection of a selected muon, a pulsed magnetic field will reduceits longitudinal momentum sufficiently to be confined within astatic weakly-focusing magnetic field and maintain a closed circularorbit. Micro-patterned gas detectors (MPGDs) are an important typeof gaseous detector that can amplify and detect a small amount ofelectric charge generated by the interaction between radiation andgas. These detectors have high gain and high spatial resolution, making them useful in various applications ranging from high energyphysics to medical instrumentation. [...]

Middle East Technical University Defocusing Beam Line (METU-DBL) performs the Single Event Effects (SEEs) radiation tests with protons in the range of 15 MeV to 30 MeV kinetic energy at Turkish Atomic Energy Authority Proton Accelerator Facility (TENMAK NÜKEN-PAF) for space and nuclear applications. The most critical beam transfer elements in the METU-DBL are three quadrupole magnets, which are used for defocusing the beam like optical lenses. [...]

Thermo-mechanical design for ALPIDE pixel sensor chip in a high-energy particle detector space module
/ Coli, S (INFN, Turin) ; Angeletti, M (CERN) ; Gargiulo, C (CERN) ; Iuppa, R (TIFPA-INFN, Trento ; Trento U.) ; Serra, E (TIFPA-INFN, Trento)
The Limadou collaboration includes all Italian scientists working on the project CSES (China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite), a constellation of satellites equipped with the most advanced technologies for correlating ionosphere perturbations with the occurrence of seismic events 2 . For the launch of CSES-02, scheduled for mid-2022, the collaboration is realizing the high-energy particle detector 1 , aimed at detecting electrons and protons trapped in Earth’s magnetosphere, with energies 5 MeV–100 MeV and 30 MeV–300 MeV respectively.
