原始南島語
原始南島語(PAN、古南島語)為全世界最大的語系之一，而原始南島語是經由重建的祖語。其下之語系的祖語諸如原始馬來-波利尼西亞語族、原始大洋洲語族，及原始波利尼西亞語族也經由如此的方法重建。

在原始南島語的觀點上、目前的台灣南島語言及菲律賓諸語言之間存在著有關詞綴及焦點系統諸多類同的架構。
