Soweego bot, task 3
[edit]Soweego bot (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)
Operator: Hjfocs (talk • contribs • logs)
Task/s: add or reference statements about works made by people, as part of the m:Grants:Project/Hjfocs/soweego Wikimedia project grant. This bot partners with Reinheitsgebot, operated by Magnus_Manske for mix'n'match.
Function details: this is the third soweego task. For each target catalog as per m:Grants:Project/Hjfocs/soweego/Timeline#August_2018:_big_fishes_selection, generate Wikidata statements upon available catalog relationships between works and people. If a claim already exists, just add a reference node.
soweego partners with Magnus_Manske's work on large catalogs and complements the mix'n'match tool, which focuses on small catalogs.
Example statement:
- claim = C'mon Everybody (Q4354548), performer (P175), Eddie Cochran (Q5969)
- reference node = (stated in (P248), Discogs (Q504063)), (Discogs artist ID (P1953), 139984), (retrieved (P813), 16 July 2019)
100 test edits: see [1], [2], [3]. N.B.: the test edits for this task are intertwined with the regular task 1 edits.
Estimated total edits: will depend on the available data of the target catalogs. For instance, in Discogs (Q504063) we count 18,244 statements about musical works performed by musicians to be added or referenced.
Suggestions to improve the proposed reference node are welcome.
