Capitalization

[edit]

Hello, John B123! Just to remind you that Wikidata avoids unnecessary capitalization. Labels and descriptions usually begin with a lowercase letter (except for proper nouns). For further information and examples, see Help:Label#Capitalization and Help:Description#Capitalization.--Russian Rocky (talk) 22:31, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Russian Rocky: Hi. Thanks for the info. I was asked to update descriptions on Wikidata when I change the short description on en.wiki. I use a script which either imports descriptions from Wikidata to use as short descriptions on en.wiki, or if I manually add a short description to en.wiki, it exports that to Wikidata. The script seems to be adding capitalisation. I'll have a look to see if I can turn this off in the script, if not I'll manually make the change. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 07:18, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
