Babel

[edit]

Babel lets you view and edit more than one language on Wikidata. Just add e.g. {{#babel:de-N|en-3|es-1|fr-2|nl-3|it-4|da-0}} to your user page. With the same language codes you can add links to your userpage on Wikipeida e.g. de:User:User123. --Tobias1984 (talk) 20:19, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This property which you proposed has now been created. Danrok (talk) 17:07, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just created total produced (P1092). --Tobias1984 (talk) 08:53, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Units

[edit]

When you add area, please also provide the unit, "square kilometer" for example. -- Innocent bystander (talk) 18:32, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have now blocked you for 2 hours as I think you didn't see the message above. When you have read and understood it please write here so I can unblock you. Regards, --Stryn (talk) 18:51, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I would like a example, I would like a correct formula. My formula for Quickstatement:

Wilkinson County (Georgia)	P2046	1171

Thank you! --B.Zsolt (talk) 18:58, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Quick Statements can't handle units at the moment. Mbch331 (talk) 19:05, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have now unblocked you, but you should not add those numbers anymore without units, as we can't know are they square kilometers or what. It's unfortunate that QuickStatements can't currently handle units :/ --Stryn (talk) 19:16, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
When I compared a sample, it definitly was km2. If we have an available botmaster and you, B.Zsolt, provide us with the source, it maybe can be fixed? -- Innocent bystander (talk) 19:23, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I Understand! But I can not with Quickstatements! :( In hungarian Wikipedia is good now. Example: hu:Ozaukee megye (Wisconsin). All date come from Wikidata, area auch! --B.Zsolt (talk) 19:47, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed the huwiki module to report the missing unit. --JulesWinnfield-hu (talk) 23:32, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Olasz nyelv

[edit]

--B.Zsolt (talk) 20:02, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you use route map (P15) (road map in English) for railway lines?--Kopiersperre (talk) 12:22, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Which qualities do you need for railways? P15 is good for railway and for road. --B.Zsolt (talk) 12:29, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Then the descriptions in many languages must changed.--Kopiersperre (talk) 14:02, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've spotted you adding route map (P15) to several items today. This property is intended as only for road maps, and so should only be on roads. I've left your addition to Wuppertal cable car line (Q256964) as it is a route map and there isn't an equivalent property for railway route maps (but see my proposal for one at Wikidata:Property proposal/Transportation#route map). route map (P15) is though not the correct one to use for photographic images, as you added at Snowdon Mountain Railway (Q1798093) - for these use image (P18). I've corrected you at Snowdon Mountain Railway (Q1798093) but I don't have time to check all your other contributions now (the two I mention happen to be on my watchlist), so please could you do so yourself. Names

[edit]

Hi,

Instead of adding people's names in one language, like this, I like to use the "VIP's labels" tools, and add them to all languages using the Western alphabet, in one go, like this. Perhaps that's of interest to you, too? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:54, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hozzáadtál olyan neveket is, amelyeknek az eredetije nem latin írásrendszerű, így magyarosan kellen átírni, de te az angolosat vetted át. – Máté (talk) 12:28, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to Wikidata user study

[edit]

Dear B.Zsolt,
I am a researcher of the Web and Internet Science group of the University of Southampton.
Together with a group of other researchers from the same University, we are currently conducting a research aiming to discover how newcomers become full participants into the Wikidata community. We are interested in understanding how the usage of tools, the relationships with the community, and the knowledge and application of policy norms change from users' first approach to Wikidata to their full integration as fully active participants.
This study will take place as an interview, either by videotelephony, e.g. Skype, phone, or e-mail, according to the preference of the interviewees. The time required to answer all the questions will likely be about an hour. Further information can be found on the Research Project Page Becoming Wikidatians: evolution of participation in a collaborative structured knowledge base.
Any data collected will be treated in the strictest confidentiality, no personal information will be processed for the purpose of the research. The study, which has submission number 20117, has received ethical approval following the University of Southampton guidelines.
We aim at gathering about 20 participants, chosen among experienced Wikidata users who authored a large number of contributions.
Should you be interested in taking part or wish to receive further information, you can contact us by writing to the e-mail address ap1a14+wikidata_user_study@ecs.soton.ac.uk.
Thank you very much, your help will be much appreciated!

Municipalities and property P18

[edit]

Hi! I see that you have filed P18 for some municipalities in Guadalajara province using maps instead of pictures. I'm trying to fix it as P18 is meant for images (pictures) of the places, not for maps. P252 is for maps. Thank you for your understanding. B25es (talk) 17:32, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Railway line maps

[edit]

You seem to be adding this to a lot of items. A bit of redundancy is fine to me, but isn't this too much? Wouldn't it be better to inherit it from the located in the administrative territorial entity (P131) tree? Otherwise we'll end up adding this to millions of items. Importing pictures for railway lines

[edit]
This was wrong

Hi B.Zsolt,

please check the image quality quality before you do mass imports. Tangier-Kenitra high-speed railway (Q253280) now has a picture of the TGV Duplex at Gare de Lyon (Paris). This can't be true. Cheers, Sascha GPD (talk) 11:12, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this is true. But in Hungarian Wikipedia this picture only a illustration. Hungaian image caption: "A vonal tervezett járműve (A képen az SNCF egyik TGV vonófeje látható)" or "The line is designed for vehicles (The picture SNCF one HST tractive head shown)"

I now replaced in wikidata. --B.Zsolt (talk) 11:24, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Importing P2046 from Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi. I don't think that importing area (P2046) from Wikipedia is a good idea. Especially where it is not referenced, and at least for Moldovan localities. See for example here:

while

Plus there are other items in a similar situation, unlisted here. I have a feeling that this information is wrong, and it shouldn't be added in WD without a realiable source (but AFAIK such sources are not easy to find for Moldova). --XXN, 11:30, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • And from what date are those numbers valid? I would also like to know what kind of area these numbers are! Is it only land area, or does it also include lakes, rivers and sea water? And how do we model such details? -- Innocent bystander (talk) 15:52, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, all your data import of area (P2046) is WRONG! As unit you wrote http://www.wikidata.org/entity/undefined insted of the correct unit square kilometre (Q712226). --Rotpunkt (talk) 14:27, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Pltools Harvest template tool is wrong! Why? :((( --B.Zsolt (talk) 14:34, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I don't know, I never used it for P2046. Please fix all P2046 now, or ask a bot for help. --Rotpunkt (talk) 14:35, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your fixes. --Rotpunkt (talk) 15:54, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Magyar címkék ókori nevekhez

[edit]

Szia! Az ehhez hasonló magyar címkéknek pontosan mi a forrása? Akár görög, akár római neveknél látom, semmi köze a magyar alakhoz, inkább tűnik eszperantó vagy spanyol vagy nem tudom, milyen nyelvű címkének. Pasztilla (talk) 16:10, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Szia! --B.Zsolt (talk) 00:18, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Metro in P1192

[edit]

Hi, I see that you added (in 2016) the general concept rapid transit (Q5503) as a value of connecting service (P1192) in several metro stations. However, as Property_talk:P1192#Usage_notes describes, it should be use for a second rapid transit railway line (Q15079663) sharing physically the same track/station without be defined as connecting line (P81). So, I believe that this value doesn't correspond and should be delete. The kind of service available in the station (which correspond to rapid transit (Q5503) concept) is defined by the lines defined with P81 or P1192. Do you agree ?. PS. I deleted the P1192 in Penitents (Q952778) thinking it was a single mistake, but I sttoped to ask you first. Thanks, Amadalvarez (talk) 05:46, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Szia Zsolt! Ezt a változtatást hogyan sikerült csinálnod? Tényleg van ilyen használt szó a magyarban? Samat (talk) 18:15, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Szia.

--B.Zsolt (talk) 22:18, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Berlin-Tempelhof station and Berlin Frankfurter Allee station

[edit]

Hi @B.Zsolt,

I have seen your edit on Berlin-Tempelhof station and Berlin Frankfurter Allee station, adding adjacent station. The thing is, these stations are little bit tricky. They are devided in, I call it "substations". Not my Idea. e.g. Berlin-Tempelhof station consist of S-Bahnhof Berlin-Tempelhof. Please be careful if you add adjacent stations in Berlin. It might bess up the system. You can find on my personal Page for the s-Bahn Berlin. Should be in a good shape. GodeNehler (talk) 09:28, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
