Reverts of items with the mul label

Hi! Could you elaborate a little on why you are reverting such items? mul label is a big step in Wikidata structure, and it should reduce the pain of element size that needs to be fully loaded every time. —putnik 14:34, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

Hoping to bring this back up after August 12th, and that we'll be able to gain consensus to tidy up the existing items. It's painfully slow to load label-sets with hundreds of duplicated items, and very tedious to review them for accuracy.

I also think there is some value in letting some deletes go through during the limited release to help identify bots and automated scripts that need to react to the change, and avoid re-adding labels after the broader rollout. Iamcarbon (talk) 18:54, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

I think that such a discussion should take place before deleting any labels. I already noticed that a few things with the mul labels do not work like they do for the usual labels. Just deleting labels and then having bots who add them again is quite useless. And it is realy a pain for any page history if you perform hundred edits just for removing labels.
