Inconsistency as a country

[edit]

West bank isn't a country but is referred as such by many cities in it: 'Q2920206, Q2916614, Q2918216, Q169310, Q2777543, Q2888807, Q2777789, Q2708346, Q325455, Q1434029, Q2889475, Q4681518, Q2889484, Q2776370, Q2777198, Q2888647, Q2777433, Q2888917, Q2889474, Q2597135, Q2160189, Q2777666, Q2558902, Q368883, Q325928, Q2916342, Q2889523, Q2889134, Q2916784, Q2891229, Q2889286, Q6883644, Q2888940, Q2888911, Q2777883, Q2777719, Q64053, Q2889038, Q1675212, Q2777925, Q224721, Q1956376, Q2890336, Q2777446, Q2326109, Q2777759, Q2916663, Q2890345, Q2777913, Q2776800, Q2888768, Q2777705, Q1661181, Q325708, Q2890437, Q2890872, Q2777888, Q2888816, Q2777977, Q2889103, Q5397755, Q2568520, Q2777973, Q2369607, Q2776826'.

It's not a great structuration. I would recommend to put these cities under the country on which they depend. An israeli settlement would have "Israel" as a country. A palestinian city would have "State of Palestine" as a country. Or we could change West bank as a country but I'm not sure that it would make sense. If people agree, please help in changing the tag country for some of the entities above. Changing these labels should not be seen as a political opinion, but as a representation of the country / law / census that these cities obey de facto. --Sifalot (talk) 15:46, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Geographic region"?

[edit]

the Hebrew description defines this item as a "geographic region", but this is not true: The west bank's borders aren't defined by geographical features. It holds about 60% of the Samaria geographical region (the rest is Israeli territory) and about 35% of the Judea geographical region (the rest is Israeli territory). The borders of the area are defined by the 1949 cease fire agreements between Israel and Jordan - therefore it should be described as a political region, or at the very least as a "region" without the false pretense that it has anything to do with geography. The item is locked, so if you can, please fit it. איתמראשפר (talk) 07:31, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
