This item is a character type

[edit]

There were a fair number of characters called "The Flash" over history of DC Comics; all these are actually in WD. As a result, and despite that IMDB once had a page matching this character, this item is not a character by itself, but rather a character type. Moreover, anything that bears subclass of (P279) can only be an instance of a "type" or "class" entity; see Help:Basic membership properties. -- LaddΩ chat ;) 11:30, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Laddo: According to the diagram above I changed P31 to superhero (Q188784). This is accepted and gives no constraint violation. -- MovieFex (talk) 15:12, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@MovieFex: Do not remove subclass of (P279). It is mandatory when other items bear instance of (P31)=Flash (Q180784), otherwise you are creating new violations in this violation list. -- LaddΩ chat ;) 02:04, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Laddo: OK. But then should P31 comics character (Q1114461) be removed instead? -- MovieFex (talk) 14:39, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@MovieFex: I believe comics character (Q1114461) is not appropriate because it is not represent a type, as opposed to superhero (Q188784). -- LaddΩ chat ;) 01:05, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I started to deal with those superhero-identities by creating an own item for personas in a work of fiction: persona in a work of fiction (Q65048168). I link the characters assuming this persona to the persona-item via appears in the form of (P4675), sometimes also via incarnation of (P3701). I set the gender-statement for this persona to <none>, as there were according to the Wikipedia-article also women assuming this identity. (unfortunately I found no comics-project where to discuss this first) - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 12:30, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
