Medical process vs. conclusion
[edit]reverting all the unexplained changes
- @Theklan: I don't think that changes were unexplained. I added respective descriptions to both items: Q177719 (conclusion resulting from diagnostic procedure), and Q9206884 (practices to determine medical causation). I also interlinked the two using has cause (P828)/has effect (P1542). Others might want to suggest how to make the distinction more clear but the concepts in any case are distinct. Wikipedias in about 10 languages also have separate articles about the two, and now after your reversion an article about either concept in these languages is unattached to Wikidata.
- I sorted bunch of sitelinks and statements between two concepts, other sitelinks still needed to be sorted. Now after your reversion all the data is messed up again. I think my revisions should be restored, unless you suggest some other approach to clear up current situation. 2001:7D0:88F6:6780:F476:DA90:9072:EBE6 08:15, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- The distintion between both was made randomly, as some of the articles are covering both the procedure and the conclusion. Theklan (talk) 08:38, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Randomly? Several languages even use different terms for these two concepts. Even if Wikipedia article in particular language covers both we can probably still say which of two concepts is each passage of an article about. If article is about both then I suppose the sitelink could go to the process/procedure/practices item as this is somewhat more general (may include the part where conclusion in some form is made).
- You could suggest how to sort sitelinks in particular languages, instead of restoring the situation where all of it messed up again. 2001:7D0:88F6:6780:F476:DA90:9072:EBE6 08:56, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
