The request to create the code [isv] for Interslavic is rejected. The RA [Registration Authority] notes that the request is based on the Proto Slavic languages, and although there is some unification, it does not have a well-developed or long history. It is a simplified pan-Slavic language. Although it is being taught in a few places, there is not yet a substantial literature or user community or intergenerational transmission of the language. Because of this, Interslavic does not qualify for a separate code under ISO 639-3. (English)
