Letter post compendium
The Letter Post Compendium Online (LPCO) is a UPU publication that provides designated operators with operational information concerning international letter-post services.
Article 17-004 of the UPU Convention Regulations requires the International Bureau (IB) to publish, on the basis of information provided in accordance with article 17-003 of those Regulations, an official compendium of information of general interest relating to the implementation in each member country of the Convention and its Regulations.
The information contained in the compendium is vitally important, as it enables Union member countries and their designated operators not only to ensure due implementation of their relevant obligations under the Convention and its Regulations (including any amendments thereto), but also to provide their customers with information on postal services offered.
Benefits
- Electronic, fast, precise and containing up-to-date information that is accessible to postal partners
- Practical and easy for Posts
- Information in the compendium updated directly online (via the Internet) at any time
- Data exported for integration into existing systems
- Simplified search for specific data on the letter-post services of one or more designated operators, including recent changes
In response to changes to the UPU Acts and the evolving technological environment, the IB has developed a new version of the Letter Post Compendium Online to replace the previous edition.
The 2023 edition of the Letter Post Compendium Online is a web-based publication allowing easy editing and publication of postal service information. Designated operators can update their information in the compendium by means of an online questionnaire.
