UNF financial services student team advances to National Financial Plan Competition Finals
After winning the semi-finals, the University of North Florida’s financial services student team advances to the Finals of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) National Financial Plan Competition. UNF is one of three student teams participating in the finals.
The goal of the Plan Competition is to give students exposure to a case study and go through the process of crafting a professional financial plan.
The UNF students, Logan Larochelle and Anthony Cassio will receive a certificate and cash award, one year of fee-waived IARFC membership or Registered Financial Associate (RFC), networking opportunities with experienced financial consultants, and resume-building achievements, and all expenses paid to participate in the finals.
Ronald Heymann, UNF’s Accounting and Finance program director, serves as the team’s supervisor.
The IARFC National Financial Plan Competition is open to undergraduate university students who are enrolled in a financial services curriculum. From a fictional case narrative, the students are requested to craft a financial plan for judging with each student team.
More information on the IARFC and the National Financial Plan Competition can be found on the IARFC website.
