UNF’s UNITE Design Lab partners with Teach Access to further inclusive design opportunities
The University of North Florida’s UNITE Design Lab announces an official partnership with Teach Access, a collaboration of members of higher education, the technology industry and advocates for accessibility working to address the critical need to enhance student and faculty understanding of digital accessibility as they learn to design, develop, and build new technologies with the needs of people with disabilities in mind.
This partnership will benefit UNF’s College of Education & Human Services (COEHS) students and faculty by providing professional opportunities to engage with a community of industry experts working to advance their knowledge of accessible design. Additionally, this partnership affords the UNITE Design Lab the opportunity to participate in work groups with national leaders from the global tech industry.
The UNITE Design Lab will also host its first local Train the Trainer event for Jacksonville area professionals interested in advancing inclusive design in their training programs and workforce initiatives on July 21 and July 22.
The Universal Design for Inclusion in Training and Education (UNITE) Design Lab serves as a virtual space for corporations, companies and organizations to engage in research, collaboration, training and development for today’s workforce aimed at promoting innovation and inclusivity.
