Sir William Henry Rycroft was born on 17 February 1861.2 He was the son of Sir Nelson Rycroft, 4th Bt. and Juliana Ogilvy.2 He married Grace Ronald Maria Menzies, daughter of Fletcher Norton Menzies and Maria Steuart-Menzies, on 28 September 1887.2 He died on 4 November 1925 at age 64.2
     He was commissioned with the rank of officer, in the service of the 11th Hussars.2 He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1884.2 He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1887.2 He fought in the Indian Frontier Expedition in 1897.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.2 He fought in the Somaliland Campaign in 1903.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches seven times.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1918.2 He was awarded the Commandeur, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.2 He was Major-General of the Admin British Army Black Sea between 1918 and 1920.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1919.2 He was Major-General of the HQ Irish Command between 1920 and 1921.2 He held the office of Governor of British North Borneo between 1923 and 1925.2

     Sir Nelson Rycroft, 4th Bt. was born on 11 March 1831.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Henry Charles Rycroft, 3rd Bt. and Charlotte Ann Josephine Tennant.2 He married Juliana Ogilvy, daughter of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 9th Bt. and Juliana Barbara Howard, on 27 July 1858.1 He died on 30 March 1894 at age 63.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Rycroft, of Calton, co. York [G.B., 1784] on 21 October 1864.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1881.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment.1

     Major Sir Richard Nelson Rycroft, 5th Bt. was born on 12 December 1859.2 He was the son of Sir Nelson Rycroft, 4th Bt. and Juliana Ogilvy.2 He married, firstly, Lady Dorothea Hester Bluett Wallop, daughter of Isaac Newton Wallop, 5th Earl of Portsmouth and Lady Eveline Alicia Juliana Herbert, on 11 February 1886 at Crediton, Devon, England.2 He married, secondly, Emily Mary Lowry-Corry, daughter of Colonel Hon. Henry William Lowry-Corry and Hon. Blanche Edith Wood, on 1 February 1911.1 He died on 25 October 1925 at age 65.2
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Rycroft, of Calton, co. York [G.B., 1784] on 30 March 1894.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1899.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Temporary Major in the Artists Rifles.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.2
