Michael Balfour, 4th of Burleigh was the son of David Balfour of Burleigh and Agnes Forrester.3 He married Christina Bethune, daughter of Sir John Bethune, 2nd of Creich and Janet Hay, before 27 April 1545.3,2 He died on 29 November 1577.3
