     Barbara Janet Ainsleigh Kilpatrick was born on 4 June 1857 at Scone, New South Wales, Australia.1,2 She was the daughter of John Lawrence and Elizabeth Ewart. She married, firstly, Alexander Frater on 24 June 1880 at Tamworth Presbyterian Church, Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia.1 She and Alexander Frater were divorced on 4 March 1890.1 She married, secondly, Thomas Baynton on 5 March 1890.1 She married, thirdly, Rowland George Allanson-Winn, 5th Lord Headley, Baron Allanson and Winn of Aghadoe, son of Hon. Rowland Allanson-Winn and Margaretta Stephana Walker, on 11 February 1921.1 She died on 28 May 1929 at age 71 at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.1
     From 24 June 1880, her married name became Frater.1 From 5 March 1890, her married name became Baynton. She wrote the book Bush Studies, published 1902.1 She wrote the book Human Toll, published 1907.1 From 11 February 1921, her married name became Allanson-Winn.

     She was founder and chairman of Stonehenge Woollen Industry Ltd.2 From 1919, her married name became Bashford. From 28 July 1929, her married name became Allanson-Winn.
