General Sir John Winthrop Hackett was born on 5 November 1910.1 He was the son of Hon. Sir John Winthrop Hackett and Deborah Vernon Drake-Brockman.2 He married Margaret Frena, daughter of Joseph Peter Frena, on 21 March 1942.1 He died on 9 September 1997 at age 86 at Coberley Mill, Seven Springs, Gloucestershire, England.3

Margaret Frena was born circa 1910.2 She was the daughter of Joseph Peter Frena.1 She married, firstly, Friedrich Grossman before 1935.1 She married, secondly, General Sir John Winthrop Hackett, son of Hon. Sir John Winthrop Hackett and Deborah Vernon Drake-Brockman, on 21 March 1942.1 She died on 14 May 2007.2
