Colonel Lancelot Rolleston was born on 20 July 1785.2 He was the son of Christopher Rolleston and Anne Nicholas.2 He married, firstly, Caroline Chetwynd, daughter of Sir George Chetwynd, 1st Bt. and Jane Bantin, on 17 November 1808.2 He married, secondly, Eleanor Charlotte Fraser, daughter of Robert Fraser and Lady Anne Maitland, in 1846 at London, England.2,3 He died in May 1862 at age 76.2
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Nottinghamshire between 1837 and 1849.1,2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Sherwood Foresters.2 He lived at Watnall Hall, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.4
