     He was with the Bombay Civil Service.¹

     Isabel Florence Spens is the daughter of Archibald Spens, 22nd of that Ilk and 19th of Lathallan and Henrietta Ouchterlony Valiant.² She married George Henry Somerset Gardner, son of Charles Gardner, on 2 November 1882.¹
     From 2 November 1882, her married name became Gardner.

     George Henry Somerset Gardner is the son of Charles Gardner.² He married Isabel Florence Spens, daughter of Archibald Spens, 22nd of that Ilk and 19th of Lathallan and Henrietta Ouchterlony Valiant, on 2 November 1882.¹
     His name was legally changed to George Henry Somerset McTaggert.¹

     Surg.-Maj. Thomas Waller was born on 26 January 1805 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.² He was the son of Dr. Thomas Waller.² He married Alicia Anne Gilbert, daughter of Joseph Gilbert and Matilda Anne Goefrel, on 2 February 1835 at Belgaum, Bombay, India.³ He died on 14 April 1881 at age 76 at Spendhurst, Highland Road, Gipsy Hill, London, England.²
     He was in the Indian Medical Service.¹ He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)¹ He gained the rank of Surgeon-Major in the East India Company.²
