     Sir John Harpur, 4th Bt. was born on 23 March 1679.1 He was the son of Sir John Harpur, 3rd Bt. and Anne Willoughby. He married Catherine Crew, daughter of Thomas Crew, 2nd Baron Crew of Stene and Anne Armyne, in 1709.1 He died on 24 June 1741 at age 62.1
     He gained the title of 4th Baronet Harpur.
