Marguerite Comtesse de Hainaut Gravin van Vlaanderen was born on 1 July 1202.2 She was the daughter of Baudouin VI (IX) Comte de Hainaut Emperor of Constantinople and Marie de Blois-Champagne.1 She married, firstly, Bouchard d'Avesnes, Seigneur de Beaumont on 23 July 1212 at Le Quesnoy, France.2 She and Bouchard d'Avesnes, Seigneur de Beaumont were divorced in 1221. She married, secondly, Guillaume II Seigneur de Dampierre Seigneur de St. Dizier, son of Guy II de Dampierre, Seigneur de Dampierre and Mathilde I, Dame de Bourbon, in 1223. She died on 10 February 1279/80 at age 77 at Gent, Belgium.2
