     Emily Idonea Sophia Le Marchant was born circa 1842 at Rochester, Kent, England.¹ She was the daughter of General Sir John Gaspard Le Marchant. She married William Romilly, 2nd Baron Romilly, son of John Romilly, 1st Baron Romilly and Caroline Charlotte Otter, on 9 February 1865 at Holy Trinity, St. Marylebone, London, England.¹ She died on 17 March 1866.
     Her married name became Romilly.

     General Sir John Gaspard Le Marchant was born in 1803.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. John Gaspard Le Marchant and Mary Carey.¹ He married Margaret Anne Taylor, daughter of Reverend Robert Taylor, on 28 May 1839.¹ He died on 6 February 1874.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 11th Regiment.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Newfoundland.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He was awarded the Knight of hte Order of St. Ferdinand 1st and 3rd Class.¹ He was awarded the Knight Commander, Order of San Carlos of Spain.¹ He was Commander-in-Chief of the Madras.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Halifax.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Malta.¹

     Helen Jemima Denison was born in 1845 at Brompton, London, England.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Hanson Denison. She married William Romilly, 2nd Baron Romilly, son of John Romilly, 1st Baron Romilly and Caroline Charlotte Otter, on 6 November 1872 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.¹ She died on 21 March 1889 at Northwich, Cheshire, England.¹
     From 6 November 1872, her married name became Romilly. After her marriage, Helen Jemima Denison was styled as Baroness Romilly on 23 December 1874.

     Lady Georgiana Elizabeth Russell was the daughter of John Russell, 6th Duke of Bedford and Lady Georgiana Gordon. She married Charles Romilly, son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett, on 13 January 1842.¹ She died on 22 March 1867.¹
     Her married name became Romilly.

     Charles Romilly was born in 1808.¹ He was the son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett.¹ He married Lady Georgiana Elizabeth Russell, daughter of John Russell, 6th Duke of Bedford and Lady Georgiana Gordon, on 13 January 1842.¹ He died on 29 August 1887.¹
     He was a practising barrister-at-law.¹

     Sir Samuel Romilly was born on 1 March 1757.¹ He was the son of Peter Romilly and Margaret Garnault.¹ He married Anne Garbett, daughter of Francis Garbett and Elizabeth Walsham, on 3 January 1798.¹ He died on 2 November 1818 at age 61, by cutting his own throat, after the death of his wife.¹
     He was a practising barrister-at-law in 1783.¹ He wrote the book Thoughts on Executive Justice, published 1786 (ASIN: B00AI6VLOK.)³ He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in 1800.³ He held the office of Solicitor-General in 1806.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Queenborough from 1806 to 1807.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Horsham from 1807 to 1808.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wareham between 1808 and 1812.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Arundel between 1812 and 1818.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Westminster in 1818.¹

     Anne Garbett was born in 1785.³ She was the daughter of Francis Garbett and Elizabeth Walsham.⁴ She married Sir Samuel Romilly, son of Peter Romilly and Margaret Garnault, on 3 January 1798.¹ She died on 29 October 1818.¹
     Her married name became Romilly.

     Sir Thomas Nicolson of Cockburnspath married Rachel Burnet, daughter of Robert Burnet, Lord Crimond and Rachel Johnston.¹

     William Romilly was born in 1798.¹ He was the son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett.¹ He died on 3 October 1855.¹
