Pay for a highway licence

How to pay for a Highway licence including skip, scaffolding, containers, welfare units and non-illuminated banners on a public road, pavement or verge.

There is a scheduled maintenance on our payment systems on the 3rd Sunday of every month between 4:30am and 6:30am.

Please do not make any payments during this time.

Highway licences

You can pay online for a highway licence including:

  • Skip licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • Scaffolding licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • Container or welfare facilities units licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • Builder materials licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • Non-illuminated banners licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • Mobile elevating works platform licence (or other forms of lifting equipment), extensions and penalty charges
  • Cranes, extension and penalty charges
  • Hoarding licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • Crane oversail, extension and penalty charges
  • Street furniture
  • Planting or cultivation
  • Attachments to street lighting columns
  • Signing for new developments

When entering your licence or licence reference number, please add 000 before the given 5 digit number. For example, NRSWA-LICENCE-00011111.

We recommend you do not use Internet Explorer to access our payment system, as you may experience more issues compared to other web browsers.

You also need to email [email protected] with both the:

  • licence or licence reference number which relates to the payment
  • amount being paid
