INDUSTRIAL VISITS

Major objective of industrial visit is to provide students an insight regarding interna l


working of companies. With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visits provide students a
practical perspective on the world of work. Industrial visit gives an idea to students about their job
profile once they start working in some organization. Every year various industrial visits are
conducted to leading industries of the region, so that students can get exposure of industry
environment and its work culture contributing to their experiential learning.

Report : The department of Information science and Engineering. S.J. C. Institute of
Technology organized a industrial visit to TCS Bangalore for the seventh Semester
students on 9th March 2022.
The visit was organized with the prior and guidance of Principal Dr. G T Raju and HOD
of Information science and Engineering Department Prof Satheesh Chandra Reddy S. The
faculty coordinator Prof.Nagesh R and Prof. Anand Tilagul accompanied a batch of 35
students who have taken appreciable initiative under the continuous guidance of Prof.
Satheesh Chandra Reddy S and coordinator (Industrial Visits) Prof.Nagesh R and Prof.
Anand Tilagul, which made this visit a grand success.

 Meeting has been conducted in the department regarding Industrial Visit with the
presence of HOD and all the faculty members.
 Before the commencement of the semester, planning has been done and the
requesting letters will be sent to the industries by the principal.
 Once we recieve the confirmation from the corporate , coordinator will make
required arrangement for industrial visit.
Impact Analysis
 Industry visits sensitize students to the practical challenges that organization face
in the business world. These visits give greater clarity about various management
concepts for the students.
 This knowledge will help the students to get through their curriculum.
 Students gain the skill towards being an entrepreneur.
 Professional communications will be increased.
 Relationship with industry which leads to placement enhancements will increase.
 Students will learn about the safety precautions to be considered while working.
 Do’s and don’ts will enhance the students to follow in the future.

Feedback Analysis
 All the students were satisfied with this industrial visit.
 Some of the students are willing to work on the same area.

Visit to Infosys

Report : The department of Information science and Engineering. S.J. C. Institute of


Technology organized a industrial visit to Infosys Bangalore for the seventh Semester
students on 01-09-2018.
The visit was organized with the prior and guidance of Principal Dr. K.M. Ravikumar and
HOD of Information science and Engineering Department Prof Satheesh Chandra Reddy
S. The faculty coordinator Prof.Nagesh and Prof. Susheelamma accompanied a batch of 35
students who have taken appreciable initiative under the continuous guidance of Prof.
