    Joe Magsaysay worked at Wendy's for 9 years, rising from janitor to member of the board of directors. In 1983, he invented flavored fries based on an idea from flavored popcorn from his friend. He opened the first Potato Corner in 1992 in the Philippines and has since expanded to over 1,100 stores in the Philippines and 200 stores overseas, achieving over 1 billion Philippine pesos in sales in 2015. Magsaysay received his master's degree in entrepreneurship from the Asian Institute of Management in 2001 and attended Harvard Business School's owner/president management program in 2016.
