TikTok users have mixed feelings about the ads and TikTok Shop videos on their FYPs, but the video app is about to make it easy to buy things from Amazon without leaving TikTok.
The app says Amazon product recommendations will soon show up on the "For You" feed. Those who link their TikTok and Amazon accounts will be able to complete checkout on TikTok, which will display real-time pricing, Prime eligibility, delivery estimates, and product details.
"This shopping experience is powered by Amazon through ads placed on TikTok and allows users to complete product purchases with Amazon in TikTok’s native environment," TikTok says.
Amazon signed a similar deal with Pinterest, The Information reports, which builds on an ad partnership the two companies announced last year.
People can already shop on Amazon via Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat. The TikTok Shop launched about a year ago.
