WEST BURLINGTON – Burlington Trailways, the Midwest’s premier ground transportation provider, has announced a significant investment in new vehicles to enhance its service. The expansion is part of Burlington Trailways’ continued effort to improve the passenger experience and meet the growing demand for safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation across North America.
The company, which operates regularly scheduled motorcoach service in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska, as well as tour and charter services across North America, acquired each vehicle at a cost of just under $1 million dollars. The new vehicles feature complimentary Wi-Fi, comfortable reclining seats, and an on-board restroom for passenger convenience.
The Burlington, Iowa-based company reports that the acquisition includes one MCI D4520 motorcoach, funded in partnership with the Iowa Department of Transportation, and three luxury Prevost H3 vehicles.
The MCI D4520 will serve intercity bus schedule routes, especially in critical rural areas, replacing an older vehicle that had logged nearly 2 million miles. Meanwhile, three Prevost H3 motorcoaches will expand Burlington Trailways’ already robust charter and group tour services, allowing the company to continue offering luxury transportation for corporate groups, educational trips, and private events.
Burlington Trailways President Ron Moore said that “the new vehicle acquisitions will allow our storied company to continue offering industry-leading safe, eco-friendly, and affordable scheduled service as well as luxury charter bus rentals and group tours.” Moore continued, “We are proud to expand our fleet and reinforce our leadership within the ground transportation industry.”
