Plural check

[edit]

The plural check assumes that the local language requires the word to be pluralized in the same situation that it gets pluralized in English. This isn't always true and makes the plural check somewhat annoying. For example, a lot of the plural transformations in English involve reporting the number of something. In Tyvan (tyv) when you know the number of something, that something doesn't need to be pluralized. (Bir a`t vs. besh a`t, 1 horse vs. 5 horses, it doesn't matter. They don't say "besh a`ttar"). --Sborsody

That's why the plural checks is not run for some languages. – Nikerabbit 14:30, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
How does the plural check work for swedish? Cause many neuter nouns is spelled the same way in singular and plural. How can I fix these translations/checks? -Moberg (90.230.218.211 15:50, 29 December 2007 (UTC))Reply
You can cheat like {{PLURAL:$1|Blabla|Blabla}}, that's what I do ;-) SPQRobin 16:35, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
